JEWETT CITY WORKING CAR FIRE

FULLY INVOLVED

ET-156 crew makes A quick knock down to save what's left of the vehicle
At about 11:50 JEWETT CITY was dispatched to A report of A working car fire. First arriving crews found A well involved vehicle fire. Mutual aid from GRISWOLD FD was also dispatched but were cancelled shortly after JEWETT CITY got on scene.

On august 22nd Laurel Hill and EGP did A mutual aid drill at the state hospital. A simulated structure fire was set up for Crews to drill on fire attack , search and rescue and ventilation.

LAUREL HILL MUTUAL AID TO POQUETANUCK





Laurel Hill responded mutual aid to poquetanuck for A two car MVA at R-12 and 2-A. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to WWBH. Other departments called to the scene were Preston City and Mohegan Tribe.

Mohegan tribe responds to A report of heavy smoke on the roof above the pool area. After finding A working fire EGP, Mohegan fire, montville and ENG 3 from the city for A fast team were called to the scene. Cover assingments were brought in to man the empty stations. After all fire was nocked down command wanted additional manpower for extensive overhaul.

Laurel Hill responded to a report of a two car with injuries.LH got on scene to see that they only had A one car with no injuries. The driver of the red jeep had lost control due to an unknown reason. The jeep had come to a rest just before the LH fire house after side swiping numerous telephone poles and fences.

Laurel Hill responds to motorcycle accident

In the early morning of July 2 Laurel Hill was dispatched to A motorcycle accident in the area of the state hospital the first officer on scene was informed that the driver of the the bike was missing. Also called to the scene for additional manpower and thermal imaging cameras were East Great Plain and poquatanuck. After
numerous hours of searching through woods nothing was found.
